**We will always begin our relationship by signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to ensure the security and confidentiality of your idea.**

Consulting

The learning curve is almost vertical when becoming an app developer. The programmers who build your app do just that, program. The product they deliver to you is computer code. But what to do with that code? Is it buggy? Is it complete? Will it crash? Is it adequately built to your specifications? Programmers do not provide quality control, nor do they guide you through the process of becoming a developer and getting your app on the App Store, Android Market, Amazon Market, etc. You will need to acquire a wealth of knowledge and skills in order to build, test, and upload your apps. As the CEO and Founder of Gatsby’s Light, I have learned all these lessons and skills through hard experience.

For an one-time consulting fee of $750 per project, I will provide consulting services in the following areas:

Opening and finalizing your developer account.
Creating App ID’s
Creating and installing provisioning profiles
Acquiring digital signing certificates.
Configuring your machine’s Keychain Access
Downloading the latest version of Xcode (Apple’s Developer software) – Or other platform software as needed.
Building an executable app in Xcode using your digital signing certificates and App ID.
Leaning the basics of Xcode usage.
Configuring your iTunes connect developer records.
Creating icons, screenshots, etc.
Creating a website
Building an archive and uploading your App to the App store.
Managing your way through an Apple rejection should one occur.
Be there for the thousand glitches that will occur during the process.
Be available via telephone during US daylight hours. (Your programmers will likely be sleeping while you are awake.)

Project Management

Package 1: Referral, Consultation, and Project Management

Gatsby’s Light will deliver all of the consultation services listed above, either in-person or via Skype video chat with screen share.
Gatsby’s Light will help you find the right team of programmers for your project and budget. You will receive bids from various programmers. We will evaluate each programming team and advise in the selection process.
Gatsby’s Light will manage your project by providing the following services:

Quality control and communication between programmers and client.
Set timetables and project milestones and hold programmers to those dates.
Be constantly involved and provide you with daily updates.
Receive code from programmers.
Continuously build and test your apps on actual devices (programmers have a habit of only using the simulator).
Try to “break” apps . . . that is, put the apps through rigorous testing, trying to put them into states and conditions the programmers had not thought of.
Build and send you “Ad Hoc” versions to instal and test on your device.
Teach you how to build an archive and upload your App to the App store.

Package 2: Total Project Management – Inception to Completion

Gatsby’s Light will take your idea from a mere concept to a completed application earning you money on the App Store or Android Market.
This level of service does not require any significant technological knowledge or involvement on your part.
Gatsby’s Light will coordinate all development and programming efforts.
Gatsby’s’ Light will be responsible for all aspects of development up to the point at which the App is live on the App store or Android Market. At that point, management of the app will be turned over to you and consultation services will be provided.
Gatsby’s Light will provide a tutorial on how to manage your application on the app store, and you will be entitled to unlimited telephone support.

Requirements:

You will be responsible for all hardware, software, development, and developer account costs. Development costs will vary greatly depending upon the type of application you wish to create.
You will receive project bids from various programmers. Whether or not you continue with the project, you will still be responsible for payment to Gatsby’s Light; although, the payment amount will be reduced if project is terminated.
You will be responsible for generating all content for your app. For example, if your app identifies types of clouds, you will be responsible for providing all content regarding cloud types.
You will be responsible for designing the basic concept for the application interface. This can simply be done with pencil and paper, scanned, and emailed (or snail-mailed) to Gatsby’s Light.
